Dandruff
Dandruff, or seborrheic dermatitis, is a common scalp condition characterized by flaky, itchy skin and can sometimes lead to hair loss or irritation. It is often associated with oily skin, but it can also affect individuals with dry skin.
Causes
* Malassezia Fungus: An overgrowth of Malassezia, a yeast-like fungus that naturally resides on the scalp, is commonly linked to dandruff.
* Seborrheic Dermatitis: This is a more severe form of dandruff that causes inflammation, redness, and scaling on the scalp and other oily areas of the body.
*Dry Skin: Dry scalp can lead to flaking and dandruff-like symptoms.
