Hair Transplantation

Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure used to restore hair loss by moving hair follicles from one part of the scalp (or other body areas) to the balding areas. While generally safe, hair transplantation can be associated with various diseases, complications, and risks.

* Bacterial Infections: Post-operative infections can occur if the scalp is not kept clean or if there is improper handling of the grafts. Symptoms include redness, swelling, pain, and pus at the transplant site.

* Fungal Infections: Fungal infections like tinea capitis can occur if the scalp is not properly managed or if there was pre-existing fungal contamination.
